Laser Sheet Metal Cutting

More than two decades ago, laser cutting was developed as an industrial tool to be utilized for a variety of cutting operations. Metal cuts with a thickness of up to 1 inch are possible, as well as highly precise kerfs in very thin materials. CO2-lasers are the most widely used for industrial applications for cutting.

  • Precision laser cut parts from sheet and plate ranging up to 60” x 120” without repositioning; cutting up to:
  • 1” thick carbon steel
  • 1/2” thick stainless steel
  • 1/2” thick aluminum
  • Laser beam stability and cut speeds up to 600 inches per minute
  • Repeatable process control; tolerances held within +/- 0.002”
  • Complex shapes without tooling lead-time and costs; prototypes completed quickly and cost-effectively.
  • Laser cutting automation decreases inefficiencies and cost reductions in manufacturing.
  • Provides superior burr-free edge quality; Cut edge smoothness 125 microns
  • Laser beam kerf width = 0.003”
  • PVC masking film scoring to aid assembly
